Associate Professor Dr. Rosminah Mohamed is currently the person in-charge for Casemix System at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM), University Lecturer and Health Economics Consultant. Her experiences in health sector is broadly pronouced, from microbiological work, phamaceutical, telehealth, health management, health financing, hospital management and reformation of healthcare system. She used to work at two different international phamaceutical companies in Malaysia. Rewarded a Master of Medical Sciences from UKM in 2000, she accepted an offer from Malaysian telehealth company as an Asisstant Manager to work on the Telehealth MSC Project. In 2006, she further her study at Westfalicher Wilhelm Universität, Müster (WWU), Germany, where she participated in the European Casemix System and adopted the work as her doctorate research study. This is the starting point for her expertise, where she grabbed an opportunity to involve in the Romanian Healthcare Reformation Project in Bucharest leaded by WHO in 2007. Return back to USM in 2009, started to establish Casemix System in Hospital USM. She eventually received strong support from USM community and now the USM Casemix System is in the third year of its implementation. Based on her experiences handling Casemix System, she is appointed as a Head of the CSEU in Health Campus of USM. Her continuous contribution in the European Casemix System remain, where she is the member of Patient Classification System International (PCSI) till now. As an academician, she is committed in teaching, research and supervision locally and internationally. Her main interest globally is, to assist developing countries in casemix implementation. She also has great interest in health management, financing and economic evaluation researches. Currently, she is working on the development of the Oral Health Casemix System, which is an extension of the USM Casemix System fully granted under APEX Initiative Grant. She has published, co-author and reviewer to several articles in journals and presented in conferences in areas of health economics and public health in general.
