Jean Marie Rodrigues is Emeritus Professor of Public and Digital Health in Saint Etienne Université Jean Monnet Emeritus President of PCSI and Director of PCSI Avignon Live International Summer School.
Trained initially as a MD in gastro enterology, radiology, occupational medicine and public health, master in bio mathematics and bio statistics and Phd in Health Economics he joined the Department of health in PARIS from 1978 to 1986. He was in charge of the first outside the US in the world French DRG (PMSI French acronym) pilot test designing the cost model ,French DRG Grouper and the French Intervention Procedures Classification (CDAM).
He was convenor of CEN/ISO works which produced 3 ISO standards on Clinical Terminology (Categorial Structures, Surgical Procedures and Anatomy).
He was appointed by WHO in the working group which developed the semantic structure of ICD11 and the common ontology between ICD11 and SNOMEDCT
He has developed collaboration with many universities, research and public agency centres in Europe and outside Europe namely USA, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Ireland, NHS in UK, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Hungary, Malaysia and Japan.
He is still active in academic activities on Casemix, Healthcare Terminology and Ontology within and outside Europe.
