Prof. Dr. Maznah Binti Dahlui

Prof. Maznah Dahlui is a distinguished Public Health Medical Specialist and Health Economist who was formerly a lecturer at the University of Malaya. Following her retirement, she continues to serve as an Honorary Professor at the University of Malaya and an Adjunct Professor at Taylors University, Malaysia. In 2022, she joined the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and now leads the Department of Research, Development, and Innovation. As the head of RDI, she facilitates research at the hospital, ensures the safety of hospital data, and provides stewardship to the Clinical Investigation Centre.

Prof. Maznah Dahlui continues to be an educator, trainer, and mentor in the field of public health, with a particular focus on health economics. She has conducted, and remains actively involved in research on health economics, particularly in the economic evaluation of health interventions for disease treatment and community programs.

Most of her research has been translated into policy, advocating that health policies should be grounded in evidence to select the most cost-effective and value-for-money health interventions. She holds memberships in several national and international committees, where she shares her ideas and experiences.
